Ruby Talkies is a cinema-inspired café and bar located in Andheri, Mumbai. With a strong focus on nostalgic charm and warm hospitality, Ruby Talkies aims to showcase Ruby-like passion and character in its food and service offering. The project entailed conceptualising a distinctive brand identity that meticulously integrated the nostalgic essence of classic talkies into every aspect of the guest experience, from valet tickets to bill folders, resulting in a seamless and enchanting presentation for patrons.

Challenge

To achieve the desired outcome, the project encompassed various stages of research, conceptualisation, design, and implementation. The initial phase involved an in-depth exploration of Ruby Talkies’ cinematic theme, its Andheri location, and its target patrons, as well as an analysis of Mumbai’s competitive café and bar scene. This research helped in understanding the unique selling points of Ruby Talkies and identifying how to translate the nostalgic charm of classic talkies into a distinctive, memorable dining experience.

BRANDING ELEMENTS

To bring this vision to life, we developed a brand identity that celebrated Ruby Talkies’ cinematic charm and harmonised effortlessly with its retro interior design. Our solution involved creating a nostalgic yet welcoming brand identity, extending the classic-cinema theme across valet tickets, bill folders, and signage to convey the essence of old-world charm and hospitality.

Impact

The service we provided has had a meaningful impact on Ruby Talkies’ business. The nostalgic branding elements, including in-store signage, menus, and stationery, have created a distinctive and memorable guest experience. This immersive cinematic theme has strengthened word-of-mouth buzz and encouraged repeat visits, fostering stronger customer loyalty and establishing Ruby Talkies as a beloved fixture in Andheri’s café and bar scene.
